Desa is Turkey's leading producer of leather apparel, footwear, handbags, and accessories, founded in Istanbul in 1972 by Melih Çelet. The company employs approximately 2,000 people across four factories (three in Turkey, one in Italy) and 116 retail stores, and has been the Turkish leather industry's export champion for five consecutive years. Desa holds the Leather Working Group Golden Standard for sustainable tannery operations.
