Qatar Aluminium (Qatalum) is een joint venture tussen Qatar Petroleum en Norsk Hydro, die in Mesaieed Industrial City een van de grootste primaire aluminiumsmelters ter wereld exploiteert met een jaarlijkse productie van meer dan 600.000 ton. De faciliteit omvat een koolstoffabriek, een reductiefabriek, een gieterij en een interne elektriciteitscentrale, waar standaard aluminium blokken en aluminium blokken met toegevoegde waarde, extrusieblokken en walsplaten worden geproduceerd.
