تأسست أمواج في عام 1983 على يد الأمير السيد حمد بن حمود البوسعيدي كوسيلة لتقديم تراث اللبان العماني إلى العالم، وتديرها شركة عمان للعطور ش.م.م ضمن مجموعة سابكو. يمكن لمصنع الشركة في مسقط إنتاج ما يقرب من 25000 زجاجة أسبوعيًا، باستخدام اللبان الملكي الأخضر الحوجري من محمية وادي دوكة المدرجة على قائمة اليونسكو للتراث العالمي في ظفار. تباع عطور أمواج بسعر يتراوح بين مئات إلى ما يقرب من 2000 دولار أمريكي للزجاجة الواحدة، ويتم توزيعها على المتاجر الكبرى ومتاجر العطور المتخصصة في أكثر من 40 دولة.
