Grendene is the world's largest manufacturer of sandals and synthetic footwear, founded in 1971 in Caxias do Sul and now headquartered in Sobral, Ceará, with a production capacity of 250 million pairs annually across three plants. The company owns the Melissa, Ipanema, Rider, and Grendha brands, exporting to more than 100 countries through approximately 45,000 wholesale points of sale outside Brazil. Its patented Melflex® recyclable PVC technology and strong brand recognition make Grendene a key B2B wholesale supplier for footwear importers and fashion distributors worldwide.
