Schempp-Hirth, headquartered in Kirchheim unter Teck, Germany, manufactures gliders and motor gliders including the Discus-2 club glider, Duo Discus tandem two-seater, Ventus-3 high-performance single-seater, and Arcus powered glider. Founded in 1935, Schempp-Hirth is one of the oldest continuously operating glider manufacturers in the world. Aircraft are used by gliding clubs, private competition pilots, and aero tow operators globally.
