Bodega Garzón, founded in 2007 in the Maldonado hills, is Uruguay's most internationally recognised winery, producing single-vineyard Tannat, Albariño, Marselan, and white wines from basalt soils. The winery was designed by architect Carlos Ott and exports to premium restaurant wine lists and specialty retailers in the US, Europe, and Brazil.
