Budějovický Budvar is a Czech state-owned brewery founded in 1895 in České Budějovice, home of the original Budweiser lager. The fourth largest beer producer in the Czech Republic and its second largest beer exporter, Budvar distributes to over 70 countries. The brewery's beers hold EU Protected Geographical Indication status and are brewed exclusively at the original South Bohemia site.
