About
Corteva Agriscience is an independent publicly traded agriculture company formed in 2018 following the spin-off of DowDuPont's agriculture division, headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. The company is one of the world's largest seed and crop protection companies and operates the Pioneer brand, which includes more than 50 years of corn and soybean hybrid seed development and represents the dominant commercial seed brand in North American corn and soybean markets. The Brevant Seeds brand serves European oilseed markets, offering canola, sunflower and cereals through commercial distribution in France, Germany, Ukraine, Poland and Romania. Pioneer brand corn hybrids are also sold in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and South Africa. Corteva's seed research programme employs plant breeders, molecular scientists and computational biologists across more than 30 research locations, and the company holds a substantial portfolio of plant variety protection rights and patents relating to trait combinations, germplasm and production methods. Distribution of Pioneer seed runs through an extensive network of independent local dealers and cooperative farm supply stores in North America, alongside direct sales to large commercial farming operations. In Europe and South America, national seed distributors and subsidiary sales teams serve commercial grain producers.
