CASI (Comercial Agricola Sureste Internacional), founded in 1977 in El Ejido, is one of Almeria's largest agricultural cooperatives producing greenhouse-grown bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and courgettes. Almeria is Europe's largest greenhouse vegetable producer, supplying over 40% of European fresh vegetables. CASI exports to the UK, Germany, France, and the Netherlands.
