Foskor is South Africa's sole phosphate mining and phosphoric-acid producer, extracting phosphate rock from the world-class Phalaborwa Complex in Limpopo and processing it into phosphoric acid, granular fertilisers, and phosphate concentrate at its Richards Bay manufacturing plant. A subsidiary of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), Foskor supplies the South African and global fertiliser industry and exports phosphoric acid to fertiliser blenders in India, Europe, and Brazil. The company is a strategic link in sub-Saharan Africa's food-security supply chain.
