About

Hima Cement is Uganda's oldest cement manufacturer, operating a fully integrated plant in Hima, Kasese District, in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains where limestone is quarried on-site. Now a Bamburi Cement (Holcim) subsidiary, the company produces Hima-brand Portland cement and blended cements for the construction industry across Uganda, Rwanda, and DRC. The plant's capacity has been expanded to over 1 million tonnes per annum to serve East African infrastructure demand.
