Ingenio La Cabaña is El Salvador's second-largest sugar producer, crushing cane from the Sonsonate and Ahuachapán departments to produce raw sugar, refined sugar, and organic-certified sugar for export. The mill operates an attached distillery producing high-grade cane ethanol (96° and 99.5°) for the fuel blending and industrial solvent market. Products exported to the US under the US TRQ and to the EU under the EPA sugar protocol.
