MS Mjólkursamsalan, Iceland's national dairy cooperative founded in 1914, produces authentic Icelandic skyr, a traditional strained dairy product with the consistency of Greek yogurt but much higher protein content. MS's Skyr brand has been adopted by major dairy companies globally. The cooperative also produces Icelandic butter, cheese, and dried whey protein for export.
