The ultimate warning sign: If a supplier refuses cards or escrow and only pushes for non-reversible payment methods, walk away immediately. This is the number one sign of a scam. Either insist on escrow or drop the deal.
Double-check the names: The name on the bank account must perfectly match the officially registered company name. If it doesn't, stop right there.
First-time orders: Always use an independent escrow service for your first order. This ensures the supplier only gets paid after you have the goods in hand.
About
C.F. Martin and Company is an American acoustic guitar manufacturer headquartered in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, USA. Founded in 1833 by Christian Frederick Martin Sr., Martin is the oldest guitar manufacturer in the United States and the inventor of the Dreadnought body shape (1916), which became the world standard for steel-string acoustic guitars. Martin produces guitars across the Standard Series (D-28, HD-28, D-35, OM-21, 000-28), the Modern Deluxe series, the Road series, the X series, and custom and limited-edition instruments. Every guitar in the Standard Series is built by hand in Nazareth using solid tonewoods including Sitka spruce tops and East Indian rosewood, mahogany, or koa back-and-sides. Martin holds FSC certification and operates a responsible-sourcing program for all tonewoods. The company distributes in over 100 countries through a curated network of authorised dealers, national distributors, and selected premium music retailers. Wholesale partnerships provide access to the full catalogue including limited runs and vintage-spec reissues, with dealer training support and authorised repair certification programs.
