Omnicane is a Mauritius Sugar Syndicate-affiliated agro-industrial group listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius, operating a centrally located sugar mill in Rose Belle that processes cane from several small Mauritian planters' cooperatives alongside its own estates, producing refined and raw sugar and high-test molasses. The company also operates a bioethanol distillery and cogeneration power plant fuelled by bagasse, supplying electricity to the Mauritius national grid. Omnicane's bioethanol is used as fuel blending stock and exported to Europe.
