Ateliers de Reliure Marchal et Sarel
Company-provided description, not an official-source fact. Certifications, capacities, years and market positions stated in it are the company's own claims until a record below confirms them.
Ateliers de Reliure Marchal et Sarel is a bookbinding and restoration workshop dedicated to the craft of traditional and contemporary bookbinding, restoration of antique books, and gold tooling. The workshops operate from two locations, one in Mulhouse and the other near Strasbourg, where they carry out both artisanal and institutional projects. They serve personal and professional clients, creating custom bindings from concept to completion and restoring damaged books to preserve their integrity and appearance.

What is established and what is not
No researcher review has been written for this company yet. No official record is on file. 4 other entries are not official records: our own technical checks and searches, open directory listings, our inferences or the company's own statements. Everything is listed below with its evidence type: each entry confirms only what it literally says; none of them is a review. Nothing here confirms manufacturing, ownership or trading status beyond what each record literally says.
Facts on file, each with its evidence type
- No match found in the debarment registers we checked (record type: debarment-clear) [our own observation, not an official record; name search, no matching candidate] We searched the public debarment datasets and found no matching candidate. Absence from these lists is a search result, not a certificate. Screened by name only: no legal entity is established for this record, so this is not a clearance. checked 2026-10-07. OpenSanctions
- No match found on the sanctions lists we checked (record type: sanctions-clear) [our own observation, not an official record; name search, no matching candidate] We searched the public sanctions datasets and found no matching candidate. A name search is not full compliance screening. Screened by name only: no legal entity is established for this record, so this is not a clearance. checked 2026-10-07. OpenSanctions
- First recorded on the web archive (record type: web-presence-since) [our own observation, not an official record; status green] The company website was already online in 2018. Shows a web archive saw a page at this address on that date. It does not show who ran the site then. checked 2026-08-21. Internet Archive (Wayback)
- Business email on the company's own domain (record type: corporate-mail-on-domain) [our own observation, not an official record; status green] Shows the domain runs its own email rather than a free mailbox. It describes the domain, not who owns it. checked 2026-10-07. Mail server of the company domain
Import rules for these goods
- Upcoming, not yet applicable on 2026-10-14: If the goods are paper, board or printed products, placing them on the EU market falls under the Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) due-diligence regime; packaging machinery itself does not. The EU Deforestation Regulation applies to large and medium operators from 30 December 2026 and to micro and small operators from 30 June 2027; due-diligence intensity depends on the risk level the Commission assigns to the country of production.
