Thungela Resources is a JSE- and London Stock Exchange-listed South African thermal coal producer spun off from Anglo American in 2021, operating six export thermal-coal mines in Mpumalanga including Goedehoop, Greenside, Isibonelo, and Zibulo, with production exported through the Richards Bay Coal Terminal. The company produces approximately 13–14 million saleable tonnes of coal annually, targeting the Asian and European energy markets.
