Wescoal Holdings is a JSE-listed South African coal producer operating the Elandspruit, Khanyisa, and Sterkfontein collieries in Mpumalanga Province, supplying thermal coal directly to Eskom power stations under long-term contracts as well as export-quality coal to Richards Bay Coal Terminal. The company was founded as a broad-based black-economic-empowerment (B-BBEE) mining group and remains majority black-owned. Wescoal also operates a coal-trading subsidiary supplying industrial consumers across South Africa.
