Die Geschichte von Calzutirificio Soldini beginnt im Jahr 1945 in Capolona, einer kleinen Stadt in der Provinz Arezzo, wo sich auch heute noch das Herzstück des Unternehmens befindet. Gustavo Soldini übernahm zusammen mit seinen Brüdern Giuseppe und Ermenegildo nach dem Tod ihres Vaters das Schuhlabor mit der Firma „Fratelli Soldini“ und gründete ein rein handwerkliches Unternehmen zur Herstellung von Schuhen für Männer und Frauen für den lokalen Markt von Arezzo und Florenz. In den 1950er Jahren wurde mit der Entwicklung des Unternehmens eine erste Fabrik in Capolona am Ufer des Arno und anschließend eine zweite in Anghiari eröffnet, was den Übergang von der handwerklichen zur industriellen Produktion markierte und mehr als 800 Mitarbeiter beschäftigte.
