Wir, die Gebrüder Hartkopf GmbH & Co. KG, wurden 1872 von den Brüdern Carl und August Hartkopf gegründet. Zunächst produzierten wir Rohlinge für Messer, bevor wir uns auf Handwerkzeuge und Maschinenkomponenten spezialisierten. Heute bieten wir eine breite Produktpalette für verschiedene Branchen an. Unser Unternehmen hat sich kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt: 1888 zogen wir an unseren heutigen Standort in der Bismarckstraße und begannen 1890 mit der Entwicklung eigener Produktionsmaschinen. In den 1970er Jahren verlagerten wir unsere Produktion von Besteck auf Handwerkzeuge. In den 1990er Jahren modernisierten wir unseren Werkzeugbau mit CAD/CAM-Systemen und HSC-Frästechniken.
