Als Sadakathulla Hajiar 1935 seine erste Geschäftsreise per Schiff nach Amerika unternahm, verließ er Ceylon (heute Sri Lanka) als einer der Pioniere, um das Land zu verlassen, um feine Edelsteine zu vermarkten. Als Nachfolger seines Sohnes M.S.M.Kamil baute das Unternehmen sein Netzwerk auf, um hochwertige Saphire und andere Edelsteine in die meisten europäischen Länder und Fernostasien zu verkaufen. Viele führende Marken auf der Welt beziehen über KAMIL feine Edelsteine aus Ceylon.
