Places + Spaces wurde 2007 gegründet und zielt darauf ab, unabhängige Künstler einem breiteren Publikum zugänglich zu machen durch: Auftrittsmöglichkeiten, kreative Entwicklungen, produzierende Künstler. „Ein integraler Bestandteil unserer Vision sind Exzellenz, Zugänglichkeit, inspirierende Erfahrungen und der Wunsch, zeitgenössische australische Aufführungen einem breiteren Publikum zugänglich zu machen“, sagt die künstlerische Leiterin Joanne Kee. Zu unseren aktuellen Produktions- und kreativen Entwicklungsarbeiten gehören Disco Conversion Therapy mit Jonny Hawkins und Matt Keegans Three Seas-Projekt. Weitere spannende Werke werden angekündigt. Zu den früheren Projekten gehörten Tubular Bells for Two Wordless mit Art Spiegelman und Phillip Johnston, das Sun Songbook, Alon Ilsars Air Sticks und die internationalen Tourneen der Vampires.
