La historia de Calzutirificio Soldini comienza en 1945 en Capolona, una pequeña ciudad de la provincia de Arezzo, donde aún hoy se encuentra el corazón de la empresa. Gustavo Soldini, junto con sus hermanos Giuseppe y Ermenegildo, se hizo cargo, tras la muerte de su padre, del laboratorio de calzado de la empresa "Fratelli Soldini", iniciando un negocio puramente artesanal de fabricación de calzado para hombre y mujer destinado al mercado local de Arezzo y Florencia. En los años 1950, con el desarrollo del negocio, se abrió una primera fábrica en Capolona, a orillas del río Arno, y posteriormente una segunda en Anghiari, marcando la transición de la producción artesanal a la industrial y empleando a más de 800 empleados.
