Freixenet se fundó en 1914 en Sant Sadurní d'Anoia y se convirtió en la marca de Cava más vendida del mundo gracias a su distintiva botella negra esmerilada y su etiqueta Cordón Negro. Ahora parte del grupo Henkell Freixenet, continúa produciendo Cava en su bodega de Cataluña y gestionando viñedos en toda España y mercados internacionales.
