L'histoire de Calzutirificio Soldini commence en 1945 à Capolona, une petite ville de la province d'Arezzo, où se trouve encore aujourd'hui le cœur de l'entreprise. Gustavo Soldini, avec ses frères Giuseppe et Ermenegildo, ont repris après la mort de leur père le laboratoire de chaussures de l'entreprise "Fratelli Soldini", en lançant une entreprise purement artisanale de fabrication de chaussures pour hommes et femmes destinées au marché local d'Arezzo et de Florence. Dans les années 1950, avec le développement de l'entreprise, une première usine est ouverte à Capolona, sur les rives de l'Arno, puis une seconde à Anghiari, marquant le passage de la production artisanale à la production industrielle et employant plus de 800 salariés.
