Filatura Bertoglio Italo s.a.s. a été fondée par M. Italo en 1946 dans un bâtiment situé au bord du ruisseau Cervo à Biella. En 1961, elle s'installe dans la zone industrielle de Maglioleo, où elle se trouve encore aujourd'hui. Depuis 70 ans, la famille travaille pour que l'entreprise connaisse une augmentation progressive mais constante de sa capacité de production, avec une attention particulière à l'amélioration continue de la qualité des produits selon les normes très élevées du véritable « Made in Italy ». Même ces dernières années, caractérisées par un gel général des investissements, Filatura Cardata Bertoglio a ouvert une nouvelle usine pour mieux rationaliser la production et produire tout type de fil cardé traditionnel.
