Thungela Resources est un producteur sud-africain de charbon thermique coté à la JSE et à la Bourse de Londres, issu d'Anglo American en 2021, exploitant six mines de charbon thermique d'exportation à Mpumalanga, dont Goedehoop, Greenside, Isibonelo et Zibulo, dont la production est exportée via le terminal charbonnier de Richards Bay. L'entreprise produit environ 13 à 14 millions de tonnes vendables de charbon par an, ciblant les marchés énergétiques asiatiques et européens. Thungela détient également une participation de 50 % dans la mine Ensham Resource en Australie et étend son portefeuille à l'international.
