La storia del Calzutirificio Soldini inizia nel lontano 1945 a Capolona, un piccolo paese in provincia di Arezzo, dove ancora oggi si trova il cuore dell'azienda. Gustavo Soldini, insieme ai fratelli Giuseppe ed Ermenegildo, subentra dopo la morte del padre nel laboratorio di calzature con l'azienda denominata "Fratelli Soldini", avviando un'attività prettamente artigianale di realizzazione di calzature per uomo e donna destinate al mercato locale di Arezzo e Firenze. Negli anni '50, con lo sviluppo dell'attività, viene aperto un primo stabilimento a Capolona, sulle rive del fiume Arno, e successivamente un secondo ad Anghiari, segnando il passaggio dalla produzione artigianale a quella industriale e impiegando più di 800 dipendenti.
