Freixenet è stata fondata nel 1914 a Sant Sadurní d'Anoia ed è diventata il marchio di Cava più venduto al mondo grazie alla sua caratteristica bottiglia nera satinata e all'etichetta Cordon Negro. Ora parte del gruppo Henkell Freixenet, continua a produrre Cava nella sua azienda vinicola catalana e a gestire vigneti in tutta la Spagna e sui mercati internazionali.
