K. risalgono al 1925. Mio nonno Georg Knaus, maestro falegname qualificato, acquistò allora la segheria Biebl a Mauth. Era consapevole che la sua professione stava morendo e ha lavorato attivamente contro questo sviluppo. Già nella fase iniziale, oltre al classico taglio del legno, si è cercato un ulteriore pilastro.
