Batian Flowers Ltd is a 35-hectare cut-flower farm situated at 2,400 metres elevation on the slopes of Mount Kenya near Timau, and is owned by the Black Tulip Group. The farm specialises in alstroemeria, florinca, spray roses, garden roses, and scented varieties exported predominantly to European wholesale markets. High-altitude growing conditions produce longer-stemmed, denser blooms with extended shelf-life, which are highly prized by florists across Europe.
