Michell & Cía. is Peru's oldest and most respected alpaca fiber processor, founded in Arequipa in 1931 by Frank W. Michell as an alpaca sorting and export business. Today the company operates as the world's leading producer of alpaca combed tops and spun yarns, supplying luxury fashion houses, knitwear manufacturers, and yarn retailers across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. Michell's product range includes baby alpaca, suri alpaca, huacaya alpaca, and blended yarns for hand and machine knitting as well as woven fabric production. The company's four-generation track record, quality certifications, and traceability programs from fleece to finished yarn make it the reference supplier for buyers requiring verified provenance and consistent quality at scale.
