Gelegen op de vulkanische heuvels van het natuurreservaat Astroni, in het historische gebied van Campi Flegrei, is het landbouwbedrijf Moccia al meer dan veertig jaar hartstochtelijk toegewijd aan de wijnbouw. Een nauwkeurig herstelplan, gestart in 1960 door de oprichter Gennaro Moccia, wordt met evenveel enthousiasme uitgevoerd door zijn zoon Raffaele die, om het bedrijf op de voet te volgen, zijn freelance beroep als agrotechnicus opgaf, waardoor de wijnbronnen van dit gebied ten volle konden worden geëxploiteerd.
