Arab Potash Company werd opgericht in 1956 en bezit een exclusieve overheidsconcessie van 100 jaar om mineralen uit de Dode Zee te winnen, produceren en op de markt te brengen. Als de achtste grootste potasproducent ter wereld exploiteert APC vier fabrieken die korrelvormige en standaard potas, kaliumnitraatmeststof en calciumpyrofosfaat produceren. De belangrijkste exportmarkten zijn India, China en Maleisië, die de landbouw- en kunstmestindustrie op vijf continenten bevoorraden.
