Filatura Bertoglio Italo s.a.s. werd in 1946 opgericht door de heer Italo in een gebouw langs de Cervo-stroom in Biella. In 1961 verhuisde het naar het industriegebied Maglioleo waar het nog steeds staat. Al 70 jaar werkt de familie eraan om ervoor te zorgen dat het bedrijf een geleidelijke maar constante toename van de productiecapaciteit ervaart, met bijzondere aandacht voor de voortdurende verbetering van de productkwaliteit volgens de zeer hoge normen van echt "Made in Italy". Zelfs de afgelopen jaren, gekenmerkt door een algemene investeringsstop, heeft Filatura Cardata Bertoglio een nieuwe fabriek geopend om de productie beter te rationaliseren om elk type traditioneel gekaard garen te produceren.
