Historia Calzutirificio Soldini rozpoczyna się w 1945 roku w Capolonie, małym miasteczku w prowincji Arezzo, gdzie do dziś mieści się serce firmy. Gustavo Soldini wraz z braćmi Giuseppe i Ermenegildo przejęli po śmierci ojca laboratorium obuwnicze w firmie „Fratelli Soldini”, rozpoczynając czysto rzemieślniczą działalność polegającą na produkcji obuwia dla kobiet i mężczyzn, skierowaną na lokalny rynek w Arezzo i Florencji. W latach pięćdziesiątych XX wieku wraz z rozwojem firmy otwarto pierwszą fabrykę w Capolonie, nad brzegiem rzeki Arno, a następnie drugą w Anghiari, co oznaczało przejście z produkcji rzemieślniczej do przemysłowej i zatrudniało ponad 800 pracowników.
