The company manufactures compound feed, concentrates and premix products for pigs, poultry, dairy cattle, beef cattle, veal calves and aquaculture species. De Heus operates more than 50 production facilities across Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, serving farmers and integrators in more than 60 countries. Key markets include the Netherlands, Central and Eastern Europe (Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Czech Republic), Vietnam, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Egypt. The company supplies both branded finished feed and private-label or contract manufacturing for national integrators. Product development is conducted at the De Heus Research Centre in Ede, which benchmarks feed formulation against on-farm performance trials. De Heus is one of the largest privately owned animal nutrition companies in the world by revenue, and has expanded aggressively into developing markets through acquisitions and greenfield mill construction.
