A CASI (Comercial Agrícola Sureste Internacional), fundada em 1977 em El Ejido, é uma das maiores cooperativas agrícolas de Almería que produz pimentões, tomates, pepinos e abobrinhas cultivados em estufas. Almeria é o maior produtor europeu de vegetais com efeito de estufa, fornecendo mais de 40% dos vegetais frescos europeus. CASI exporta para o Reino Unido, Alemanha, França e Holanda.
