La Rhumerie de Chamarel foi inaugurada em 2008 em uma propriedade de 35 hectares no sudoeste das Ilhas Maurício, produzindo rum agricole de propriedade única a partir de suco puro de cana. A produção anual chega a 250 mil litros, dos quais aproximadamente 45% são exportados para França, Finlândia, Suíça, China e Japão. A destilaria também opera um restaurante imobiliário chamado L'Alchimiste.
