Caussade Semences Group is a French privately owned seed company founded in 1897 in Caussade, Tarn-et-Garonne, in the southwest of France. The company specialises in the breeding and distribution of hybrid seed varieties for sunflower, corn, grain sorghum, forage sorghum, sorghum-sudan crosses, field bean, pea and rapeseed. Caussade's core geographic focus is the warm and semi-arid production zones of Southern France, Spain, Romania, Hungary, Turkey and North Africa, where sunflower and sorghum are important commercial crops. Breeding stations are located in France and Spain. The company has developed particular expertise in drought-tolerant sunflower varieties suited to rain-fed conditions in southern Europe and North Africa.
