KEMAPCO (Arab Fertilizers & Chemical Industries) was established in 1998 in Aqaba as a joint venture between Arab Potash Company and the Norwegian Yara International. The company produces potassium nitrate fertiliser, supplying approximately 12% of world demand, as well as dicalcium phosphate, calcium pyrophosphate, and nitric acid. Products are exported to European and Asian agricultural markets, positioning KEMAPCO as Jordan's most export-oriented speciality chemical manufacturer.
