The Yerevan Brandy Company (Pernod Ricard subsidiary) produces the world-famous Ararat Armenian brandy in Yerevan, aged in Limousin and Caucasian oak barrels in cellars dating from 1887. Ararat 3-star through to 20-year aged expressions are exported to premium spirits distributors in Europe, the US, and Russia. Armenia's unique grape varieties and high-altitude terroir produce brandies that rival Cognac in prestige.
