• Account data — name, work email, company name, job title and password, provided when you register or claim a listing.
• Company profile data — descriptions, product categories, certifications, target markets, distribution offers and other listing content you publish.
• Messages & requests — introduction requests and messages you exchange with other companies through the Platform.
• Usage data — pages visited, actions taken, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
• Public-source data — some manufacturer listings are compiled from publicly available business information before they are claimed by their owners.

3. How we use your information

• To operate the marketplace and match manufacturers with distributors.
• To verify company identity and process listing claims.
• To deliver introduction requests, messages and email notifications.
• To translate messages and profile content for cross-language communication.
• To analyse usage, improve the Platform and prevent abuse.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where data-protection law (such as the EU/UK GDPR) applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract — to provide the marketplace, your account and the introductions you request.

5. Third-party service providers

We rely on trusted providers to run the Platform. They process data only on our instructions:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
• Vercel — application hosting, content delivery and aggregated traffic analytics.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Google Cloud Translation — automatic translation of messages and profile text.
• Google Analytics — aggregated usage statistics.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. International data transfers

Our providers may process data in countries outside your own, including the European Economic Area and the United States. Where data is transferred across borders, we rely on the providers' safeguards — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms — to protect it.

Company profile content you publish is visible to other Platform users and may be indexed by search engines. Contact details are shared with another company only after an introduction request is approved. Account credentials and private messages are never made public.

We keep account and company data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or to resolve disputes.

10. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority. 11. Eligibility

The Platform is a business tool intended for use by companies and their authorised representatives. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

12. Security

We use industry-standard measures — encrypted transport, hashed passwords and access controls — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated by email.
