Habesha Cement Share Company operates a dry-process integrated cement plant in Holeta, near Addis Ababa, with an annual clinker and grinding capacity of 1.4 million tonnes. Backed by private Ethiopian and diaspora investment, the company produces ordinary Portland cement and blended cements targeting the urban construction boom in Addis Ababa and Central Ethiopia. Habesha Cement is one of the few cement companies in Ethiopia owned primarily by Ethiopian private investors.
