IRO AB is a Swedish manufacturer of yarn feeders and yarn tension control devices headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden. Founded in 1942, IRO pioneered the modern positive yarn feeder for circular knitting and has been the world's leading supplier of weft yarn feeders for weaving machines and yarn feeders for knitting and tufting machines for over 80 years. Under the Memminger-IRO brand (a group combining IRO and German partner Memminger), the company produces electronic and mechanical positive feeders for flat and circular knitting, storage feeders for high-speed air-jet and rapier weaving machines, tufting yarn feeders, embroidery feeders, and modular yarn-carrier systems.
