National Milling Company is one of Zambia's largest grain-processing companies, milling maize meal, wheat flour, semolina, bran, and stock feeds from its roller mills in Lusaka and Kabwe. Originally a parastatal, the company was privatised and continues to supply the bulk of Zambia's formal retail maize-meal under the National and breakfast brands. NMC plays a strategic role in Zambia's food-security architecture and participates in the Food Reserve Agency's strategic grain distribution.
