SAR is Senegal's sole oil refinery, processing imported crude into fuels, LPG, asphalt, and industrial lubricants for the domestic and regional markets. Located in Dakar's port zone, the refinery supplies petroleum products to Senegal's power sector, transport operators, and landlocked neighbours Mali and Guinea. SAR is a mixed public-private company with strategic national importance.
