Sunflag Iron & Steel Company Tanzania is one of East Africa's largest integrated steel manufacturers, operating an electric arc furnace, rolling mill, and wire-drawing plant at Dar es Salaam to produce reinforcing bar, wire rod, structural angles, channels, and galvanised wire for construction, infrastructure, and manufacturing industries. A subsidiary of India's Sunflag Group, the company imports scrap steel and DRI as raw materials and has capacity to produce over 100,000 tonnes per annum of finished steel products. Sunflag supplies major infrastructure projects across Tanzania and exports to Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, and Malawi.
