The Tosnensky experimental mechanical repair plant was put into operation on July 13, 1982 by order of the USSR Ministry of Land Reclamation and Water Resources. The plant was built for the production of pilot batches of reclamation machines and equipment for further use in the Non-Black Earth Zone of the RSFSR.
